About Bonnie

Bonnie is a warm, respectful and compassionate psychologist who likes building a collaborative therapeutic relationship with her clients. She believes the therapeutic relationship and feeling safe is the most important element of therapy. Her approach to therapy is adaptive and flexible and she likes to help her clients make their own informed decisions to experience full autonomy. In addition to working with mainstream populations she appreciates and supports diversity and enjoys working with persons of LGBTIQPA+ and culturally/linguistically diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons.

Bonnie is a registered Psychologist with 5+ years of experience providing therapy across a broad range of problems and concerns. She identifies a client’s needs through clinical inquiry and experience. She works with individuals and partners/couples in both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships.

She is passionate about working with couples and relationship issues. Bonnie is trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Lvl 2) and Gottman Individual Therapy for Couple Problems. Bonnie also has experience with a variety of other therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, and trauma informed care.
Bonnie is able to help if you have relationship concerns and would like to attend therapy together or as an individual. She is able to help with

  • processing after a relationship break-up (including an abusive or domestic violence relationship),
  • navigating the early stages of a new relationship, and
  • deciding whether or not to continue with the challenges of a current relationship.

Her areas of interest are: Relationships and attachment (Intimate partnerships, friendships and family relationships/dynamics), Neurodiversity (ASD & ADHD), Gender and sexual diversity, Self-esteem and vulnerability,

In her spare time, Bonnie enjoys reading and hiking.

Bonnie offers in-office and telehealth counselling services.

Bonnie has a passion for working with relationships and offers a variety of approaches to supporting couples of all types. She is trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Bonnie offers Saturday appointments for couples who would like to do relationship therapy outside of work hours. These appointment times are structured specifically for Gottman therapy.
